Premium waterproof and lightweight hunting boots

Norwegian brand Viking Outdoor Footwear announces two new premium hunting boots for SS24, Villrein PRO High GTX Boa and Villrein Villrein Pro Tall GTX, which it contends to be the lightest on the market in their category.

Hunters often cover much ground and are already burdened by the weight of their gear. That’s why to help lighten each step, designers went to work cutting down on every possible gram – while being careful that these measures did not come at the cost of performance. This balance is reflected in the choice of premium kangaroo leather for the upper, for example, a material so tough that it is possible to use a thinner and therefore lighter version than regular leathers. Similarly, a dual-density EVA midsole and stability plate then strike an optimized balance between support and lightweight cushioning. Finally, a large section of the outsole was cored out, just below the arch where traction is less needed, in order to further reduce unnecessary weight.
